The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, said it returned the sum of One Billion, Five Hundred and Fifty Million Naira, to the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS on February 10, 2022. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has embarked on four weeks warning strike. The President of the Union, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, made the announcement at a press meeting on Monday, 14th February, 2022. “We don’t like to see our students at home. The Zamfara state police have rescued some kidnapped victims who were abducted in Niger state. This was made known by Muhammad Shehu, the Public Relations Officer of the police, on Sunday. “The victims were abducted in Kontagora and Bangi Local Government areas of Niger on February 6 and February 9, 2022 respectively,” he said.
