The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has come up with a reason for Friday’s power outage at the Lagos Airport.
According to a press release signed by Mrs. Faithful Hope-Ivbaze who is the Corporate Affairs General Manager, the airport was a in darkness by the rains that were preceded by high winds.
The statement that was titled, ‘TEMPORARY POWER OUTAGE AT MMIA’ quoted her as saying in part, “The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) wishes to apologise to passengers and other airport users that witnessed a temporary power outage at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 2315hours yesterday.
