Benue State Deputy Governor, Engr Benson Abounu, in the early hours of Sunday, lost his second son, Michael Abounu.
The cause of the death is not known at the time of filing this report.
This is just as Governor Samuel Ortom paid him a condolence visit, urging him and his family to take solace in God over the unfortunate death of his son.
He admonished him to be comforted in God, stating that the Lord gives life and takes at his appointed time.

Responding, Engr Abounu in an emotion laden voice thanked the governor for the visit, stating that his visit has brought a lot of comfort to the family.
The governor also paid a condolence visit on Chief Akange Audu, who also lost his wife, Juliana Audu in the early hours of Sunday.
He urged Audu to take solace in God over the unfortunate death of his wife.
On his part, Audu appreciated the visit of the governor, stating that the family is consoled by the fact that the deceased loved God and died as a Christian.
Mrs Juliana Audu was a former Chairman of Makurdi Local Government.
